Workshop: Media Inside/Out – Perspectives on Minoritised Language Media
The third RISE UP Online Networking Event will take place online on September 9th, 2024.
Share and explore minoritised language media! From the Latin medius (“in the middle”), modern media still has the power to connect small in-groups with the large out-side and to amplify the voices of those rarely heard in the mainstream. During the three hours of this networking event, we will present various ways of connecting with a wider audience for different types of media (e.g., film, magazines, online media) published in minoritised languages and will delve into the possibilities of media translation. Actors working in minoritised language media will share their experiences and host interactive workshop sessions in breakout rooms.
